Most recent updates after a long time

Ever since I started working, I don’t have the time to blog. However, I have some time now, I might as well make use of the time to blog on some of the things I have yet to post.
Zoo Trip on 18/07/09 (Sat)
It has been a long time since I visited zoo? I can’t really remember how long ago my last trip was. Seems that the last time was a few years back, where I went with my first ex gf, my jc bro ray and his ex gf, shuyi. The sudden decision of paying a visit to the zoo again was none other than Nel, who managed to have a free tickets to the zoo. Since we have 6 people and only 4 free tickets available, we just share the remaining 2 tickets.
The people consist of Kit, Wil, Nel, Ding, Duck and myself. Along the trip, there’s a mixture of happy as well as sad moments. Hmm before the trip begins, I was quite upset with the whole organizing things. Well nel have the free tickets, hence he’s supposed to be the organizer. However, everything wasn’t even planned at all, like confirming who’s going, the meeting time and venue, etc…It seems to me like, I have to become the organizer again? Everything was like thrown back to me to settle.
I was so disappointed that I decided gave up. I regretted my act for making the initiative to even ask Nel about this outing. Kit was also talking about this issue 1 night while we were eating dinner together. Ok finally the day comes and we were supposed to meet 9.30am at Sem Mrt. Hmm why is this so when everybody will be meeting at Sem bus interchange? Imagine those people who have to walk back from where they started from, while those who came from the opposite direction.
Another issue, ding was super late. I was so tired last night as I slept around 4am as I was chatting on the Msn. Hence I was craving for coffee, decided to go coffee bean to have my favourite Black forest ice blended. Finally the trip begins. Hmm played ding’s psp on the journey as he have a new game, which is related to music. I dunno the game name, but it looks fun n hard to play. We took bus journey 980 to halfway, change bus 138 to our destination.
Our trip begins! Pictures? Yeah I managed to take some of the pictures, but it’s a pity I dun have a real camera, just a camera phone I brought, which is laggy and lack of memory. Hence I can only limited my shots to a few. Each picture is just without description as to what species or name the animals are called (Not to say those easy animals). In addition, the frds which I’m going with, seems like no patience. Hence I have only short period of time to spend on the phototaking. Sometimes, I feel like travelling myself with the map alone. Then I can leisurely take my time on each place.
If I ever get a chance to visit zoo again, I will be better equipped before going. Hmm as for the pictures, I dun have much time to share them here, hence it will have to be a separated post in future. Well zoo have changed a lot. Some of the animals were gone, or rather the environment changed. I have yet to take a picture wif a snake before, hence I was hoping to try it out in the future. However, seems like there’s no more snake photo-taking .
Something I would like to comment about the map of the Zoo.. Its not very clear and exact, neither is it very detailed. Doesn’t clearly tells us the exact time of the activities like feeding sessions or the animal show. We have to go there only to find out what time it starts. Besides, to find a place, we seemed like circling around a certain place. They way they walked, was like anyhow lo.. Visited some places here n there, missing some places as we go and have to circle back the same place to find tat particular place. Partly its also cuz of the inaccurate map n the place which seems like a maze.
We travel to think kidz world to have our lunch at kfc. Its really exp there, than outside ones.. Hmm kidz world is like a place where u can find farm animals. There used to be a spider net around the playground, also no longer there. Beside the spider net, supposed to have water pool, where u can remove ur shoe n walk around the water path from very low pool to getting higher n higher level, eventually ending in a pool.
Well I happened to meet a colleague of mine (NUS – CAG) at the kfc. She’s with her son and if I’m not wrong, her daughter as well. So we left after eating, for them to have the table to eat. Chat a while and they are still working on something left. However, think I’m not going back to work anymore as I have waited for too long. Currently I’ve accepted a temp assignment, recommended by my sim frd, Angie to work for about 2 months there until Sep end, before my training for IR – dealer position starts.
Work at temp jobs, is really way super low..but I have no choice cuz I’m running very low wif my budget. Imagine I huge difference of my pay from my previous jobs. Suns 1.8k as to this temp assignment about 1k..furthermore the Overtime at this job, is going to take me not more than 8pm. I start work at 8.30, ends at 8.45. If got ot, will be not longer than 8pm.lucky, I said tat I’m not gonna accept the job since they r not giving me OT pay, so ended up they said they’ll gif OT pay, I accepted it.
Since its gonna be about 10-11weeks there, I just treated it as enduring, just like BMT during army. Dun think so much and its gonna be over in awhile. Then comes training a Marina Bay Sands. Well pay was like slightly higher than this temp job, and after 3 months of training, the pay will be higher again! So I just treat it as a recovery or promotion to myself. Hmm my pay now, shows that economy crisis sure is very bad.. Imagine, I have been jobless for more than half a yr..
Ok better come back to the zoo part. After lunch we headed back to the trip. But something disappointing was heard. Well b4 the trip, kit n I were chatting abt the trip, planning to go there until 6pm and headed to prata hse to have dinner. However, though kfc for lunch is true, the rest were like, heard from Nel they all, they planned to go back at 3pm+..Y? Cuz they wanna do something, which was like dota with frds? Along they way, even smsing around..Everything dota, even come zoo also thinking abt dota. Then might as well stayed at hm to play instead..
Hmm along the way, drizzle comes..so we hide in a sheltered place b4 heading out again. Lucky its only awhile. Next was elephant show at 3.30pm. Well all of us were tired, esp our legs.Even the elephant show, they oso choose to sit at the extreme side where u can c almost nothing. Not a gd view at all lo.. They said about getting wet, but ya its true, but at least sit behind la n ard the center la, since we r so early.. Ended up they dun wan.. Well elephant show think it’s the same thing as the past la..
So after tat, we just wrapped up everything n we left the place at 5.. Another thing happened.. Its not the 1st time, but I was always wondering, how every time come out, sure got ppl nv bring $ out de, or rather prepared everything b4 the trip? Always got ppl ended up no money. Not to say, their bank no $ la.. In the case where, b4 the trip, at least went to the atm this small effort to draw cash. But despite knowing the fact that we are gg for the outing, always got problems like nv top up fare cards, 4get to draw cash..Everything oso nv say earlier..Esp Ding..
Becuz of this, it has brought about inconvenience to the ppl around. Ended up taking cab, using up everybody’s $. Originally planned to go prata place to eat, becomes eating at sun plaza, cuz all no Money on hand..Besides, even got some end up nv eat dinner n just go hm..Who? Wil…Ok so that’s about it for the Zoo trip.. Anyway ok la, got gd n bad lo.overall still enjoy it, just that its really tiring n sweaty haha.
The rest of the Days in DMG
I can’t really recall what major things did happen during this period, but I know the road wasn’t very smooth. Due to them finding a perm staff, my last day of work at DMG was brought forward. Not until end of sept, though I was hoping it would be extended to Oct, as my perm job at IR was further postpone to another date, which is still unclear…Hence ended up, my last day of work is confirmed to be on the end of 1st week of Sep. However, it might even be earlier than the actual day..

Well the main event I could well recall while working at DMG, is lunch treat from my new colleague on my 2nd day of work there. We went to a pizza n pasta restaurant opened by her frd n we tasted the food there. It was great, so I decided to go there to eat again some day. The restaurant is Mont Enterprise Pte Ltd, located at raffles place, but I can’t rmb the add. 2nd thing is having lunch with Angie, my sim frd. She was the 1, who help me into this temp, where I can lessen my burden a little thru this job, though pay is too little.
August 2009
Well some of the things I can rmb was, gg for k lunch with Jq, cy n jx, late comer nic. Then we headed to a new place for dinner at sem hilltop. It was a steamboat restaurant. Newspaper boy, wil, ding n nel joined us for dinner there, but the food was disappointing..Not according to sequence, is a free trip to escape theme park at Pasir Ris, since nel got free tickets. Only wil, nel, ding n me go there n it was expectedly disappointed.. The rides just get lesser n lesser…
The only thrillest ride there, turns out to be the pirate ship, nothing else is fun.. Genting’s theme park is a great deal better than the theme park in Sg. Next I can recall is, wil’s birthday.. This year, everybody is super poor..nel supposedly have free tickets to Singapore flyer.. Tot that I’ll get a chance to have the 1st experience of this Singapore flyer thingy, but due to some issues, nel’s ticket was uncollectable from his camp..
Hence we ended up with a simple dinner at Sem Shop Centre at Aston, with wil, nel, duck n me. After dinner, birthday boy go home.. Next up, is 2 mahjong sessions after not playing mahjong for a very long time. 1st session is at xy’s house in yishun..It was inaccessible, ended up take cab there 5.80 wif me n wil sharing…Ended up go there, condition was so bad.. Not ventilation like tat, weather is so hot n I’m perspiring heavily just like acting ‘god of gambler’ movie, where the loser is the 1 perspiring. Worst is there’s no back rest for the chair, esp when playing mahjong for long, u need better chair for your backs… But luckily, I’m not a victim in the game, managed to win a little of about 13.50? the game was unfair as it seemed.. like 3 ppl playing instead of 4 ppl..cuz 2 were like teaming up.. as they are living in tat house, yet playing tog..
Imagine..it was obviously a half suit..added up with the tais on the table, it’s a max of 5 tais… Her daughter was forming “tong”, yet the mum still dare to throw n “fang pao” to the 5 tai.. though she paid the higher price for throwing the winning tile, I already expected that in the end, they won’t count the $.. But it dragged us down as well.. Cuz we nv throw the winning tiles, the price was already heavy, cuz it was the max tai.. This is something I hate about the rule of mahjong.. It promotes cheating in the game..
Y can’t the rule be, the person who throws the winning tile pays all? 2nd time of mj is at yong kang’s hse in amk..Just somewhere near somebody’s house…Its very near the mac at yck, n the park.. then further down, its her hse.. the condition was definitely better than xy’s hse. Better tiles n table, better chair, better host! Furthermore, its fair play. Ben n wil were wif me, tog wif the host, yk. Furthermore, his sister is quite pretty haha. Wonder if she’s around my age or not? But I think I’m, definitely older. Just kidding cuz its definitely impossible for any chemistry to occur.I won wif yk cuz wil n ben lost to us. Ben long time nv play, so lose more than wil. After which we play cards.. .
Another thing to note about Aug, is her birthday…which is the same day as my mum.. Of cuz I didn’t wish her happy birthday..though I feel like sending her sms, but I told myself not to do so.. Cuz its pointless. I’m not gonna contact her for anything, until I have stabilize everything which has been down all these while, and ready to return her favour.. And from then on, I will not have any more contacts over such a person. I’m not gonna send her birthday wish, since with or without me, there’ll be others wishing her, esp the guy.I rather wish my mum happy birthday, at least she’s more appreciative n more closer to me, who won’t cheat or hurt my feelings so deeply..
Lastly, I think I’m gg to exp a few months of hard times again, after I have no more jobs..means need to find part time job to tie me thru this few months b4 I start my training at IR.. Furthermore, I’m hesitating whether to continue gg genting on 27th Sep – 30th Sep, to have a start up at the sight of casino n the dealer at work there, to prepare myself for the training, at the same time, take a break.. But the sudden stoppage of my job, has put me into dilemma..
In addition, I received a notification from army that the recall manning period, falls just nice, on the day I’m gg to genting wif my frds.. Wat luck is this? When bad things come, it come all tog… Hence need to settle this issue, with the troublesome army.. Army matters is always so troublesome n not easily solved..Just hope I can survive this ordeal again n not exp again!..
